Population

Based on the results obtained from the census in 2002, the territory of Aračinovo Municipality covers 24 km2, with 11,992 inhabitants and 2,582 houses. The ethnic structure of the municipality is as follows:

90.72% Albanians
8.23% Macedonians
0.54% Bosnians
0.11% Serbs
0.01% Vllahët dhe
0.39% belonging to other ethnic communities.

According to the age structure, the population is divided as follows:

10.63% from 0-4 years of age;
11.69 % from 5-9 years old;
10.52% from 10-14 years old;
9.46% from 15-19 years old;
9.35% from 20-24 years old;
9.30 % from 25-29 years old;
8.45% from 30-34 years old;
6.87% aged 35-39;
5.02% from 40-44 years old;
4.63% aged 45-49;
3.69% aged 50-54;
3.41% aged 55-59;
2.55% from the age of 60-64;
1.73% aged 65-69;
1.32% from 70-74 years old;
0.60% from 75-79 years old;
0.33% from 80-84 years old
0.30% over 84 years of age.

From the above data, it can be concluded that 32.84% of the inhabitants of the municipality of Aračinovo are 0-14 years old, 62.73% are 15-64 years old, 4.28% are over 64 years old, i.e. 53.08% residents are of fertile age.

If the data is compared with the data of the other municipality, it can be concluded that the municipality of Aračinovo has the youngest population in the Republic of North Macedonia.

According to the number of residents, the Council of the city of Aračinovo is 15 councils, elected directly, free elections with secret ballot.

Within the municipality is the primary school “Skenderbeg” with more than 1000 students.
